• Who Sara is and what she I doing here?

My name is Sara Mobäck and I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for more than 14 years ago. I have since day one of my illness, taking my disease seriously and now I live an everyday life where my dreams are not stopped by my disease.
I currently run a huge blog (devote.se/diabeteskvinnan) and an instagram account (@easytype.se) where I motivate and inspire all the people who have type 1 diabetes, not to let the illness rule over small or big dreams.
Whether we like it or not, food is extremely important for us humans, and perhaps even more to us who are dependent on just blood sugar. During my illness, I was also diagnosed with celiac disease, a chronic disease that makes me unable to eat gluten protein. All this has made me committed to make good food and stick to a well managed diet to cope with diabetes and my celiac disease. Health for me is priority no 1. To give my body good nutrition, exercise, rest and love is something that I think has a great importance for a happy life. The balance between these things can be hard to find but I will ensure that the these positive factors makes me feel good. When I feel good, my diabetes is doing well.
Despite these two chronic diseases, I want to convey that I, as an diabetic, can eat almost everything. Because I’m in control of my disease.
If you also, like me, have a life threatening peanut allergy, many believe, it makes life extra hard. It is true to some extent because it makes my everyday life a little bit more difficult, but honestly, I don’t give a damn. I will enjoy the life I have received. Just because I can not eat a cake or eat a lots of chocolate does not mean I will feel sorry for myself. There are so many positive things to live for rather than to give energy to the things you can’t do anything about. I live by focusing on what I can do and the dreams I can realize.
With everything I’ve experienced, I have come to realize that nothing will stop my dreams for the future. And If I can do it, so can YOU!
At the AnnaPS site, I will contribute with my recepies, healthy, gluten free and blood sugar friendly. Enjoy!
